The tenth Graduation Day of St. Claret College, Jalahalli, Bengaluru was held on April 10, 2017 at the college quadrangle. 314 final year students graduated this academic year bringing to a close their three year fruitful journey in the institution. The Chief Guest of this year’s Graduation Day was Mr. Kishore Balaji, Head-Strategic Relationships and Corporate Affairs, INTEL (South Asia). The other guests of Honour were Rev. Fr. Benny Mathew, Manager, St. Claret Group of Institutions; Rev. Fr. Joseph Mathew, Administrator, Rev. Dr. Sabu George, Principal; Rev. Fr. Vineeth George, Vice Principal; Rev. Fr. Sojan Abraham, Principal, St. Claret PU College; Rev. Fr. Joshi Xavier, Principal of St. Claret School and Rev. Fr. Emery. Mr. Kishore Balaji, in his address to the graduating students’ spoke about how students should prepare themselves mentally for the dynamic cultural shift in the workplace. He also said that students should acquire technological competence to increase their impact on productivity. In his speech, the Principal Rev. Dr. Sabu George congratulated the students and urged them to work hard towards achieving their dreams. He encouraged them to dream big and bring accolades to their families and their Alma Mater.The program also witnessed a number of students being felicitated for their excellent performance in curricular and extra-curricular activities. Ms. Vinam Gokhale of III B.Com ‘A’ won the award for the best outgoing student of the year. Mr. Sagar M.C of III B.Com ‘C’ won the Kreeda Rathna award for his extraordinary performance in the field of Sports. Mr. Anil Kumar of III B.Com ‘C’ won the Kalapratibha Award for his performance in various cultural activities. Ms. Tina Benny Thomas of II B.Com ‘B’ won the Principals Award for the best student from the II year batches.The program also saw touching speeches by parent representatives and a nostalgic video presentation on all the outgoing batches.
