St Claret College organized a National Conference ‘Thinking Local – Going Global :Entrepreneurship and Digitalisation on November 13, 2018. Ms. Uma Reddy, Advisor, World Trade Centre was the Chief Guestand the Keynote Speaker. Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Umaoutlined that being an entrepreneur requires lots of commitment, and one needs to know the managerial skills, as well as humanskills such as persistence to overcome problems. One should also know who one’s competitors are and stay updated with therecent trends.Speaking on the occasion, Rev. Dr. Sabu George, Principal, St.Claret College, opined that entrepreneurship is a vocation that not many people take up owing to the challenges it poses, but immense success follows those who dare to defy and overcome those hurdles. The Conference also included a Panel Discussion on various sub-themes such as Entrepreneurship and Digitalisation, E- Governance, Entrepreneurial Journey, Impact of Digitalisation on Changing Skills etc. The eminent speakers of the day included Rev. Fr Benny Mathew, Manager; Rev. Fr. Vineeth George, Vice Principal; Mr. Jacob Crasta, Former President of FKCCI, Dr. G. Palanithurai, Rajiv Gandhi Chair Professor in the Department of Political Science at Gandhi Gram Rural Deemed University, Tamil Nadu, Mr. Mekin Maheshwari, Founder, Udhyam Foundation and Ms. Megha Abhijeet, Head, Transformation and Talent Head, Northern Trust. ‘Excelsior’, the annual magazine was also released during the Conference. The Conference was attended by over 100delegates from across the Country.
