Best Practices

ADWITIYA

To enhance students’ confidence, the department adopts an innovative ICT-enabled teaching–learning strategy called ADWITIYA. This approach enables students to plan, demonstrate, analyze, evaluate, and creatively apply knowledge through a structured, student- centric teaching–learning kit. It encourages the effective use of ICT tools for sustainable learning and promotes active engagement through visualization and experience-based knowledge creation. The ADWITIYA method helps students practice leadership, collaborate as a team, share knowledge, and develop research aptitude. It also provides a platform for students to design and develop new projects through experiential learning, fostering deeper understanding and innovation.

QUICK CODE FIX

QUICK CODE FIX is one of our department's best practices designed to strengthen student learning through hands-on experience. In this exercise, a student is randomly selected to write code based on recently discussed topics and implement it using an online compiler. Following this, another student is chosen to review and debug the code, fostering collaborative problem- solving skills. This peer-to-peer approach enhances experiential learning by giving students real- time opportunities to apply theoretical concepts, identify errors, and develop critical thinking abilities in a supportive environment.

SMART

SMART plays a vital role in shaping students’ overall personality and preparing them for future responsibilities. Leadership training helps students develop essential qualities such as confidence, communication, teamwork, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. By engaging them in group projects, community activities, and student organizations, institutions can nurture a sense of responsibility and initiative. Such programs encourage students to think critically, lead with empathy, and inspire others towards common goals. Developing leadership at a young age not only enhances academic and professional success but also creates socially responsible individuals capable of making positive contributions to society

Deployment of Technology towards Creative Initiatives

Students of the department are encouraged to utilize technology in the development of real–time applications such as conference websites, software to facilitate online examinations, online grievance portal etc., with the support of college management. The student developers help in the maintenance of the same based on the requirements, even after they become alumni.

Move on with an Intellectual

To ensure enrichment for advanced learners, the department introduced an initiative entitled ‘Move on with an Intellectual’. ‘Move on with an Intellectual’ aims at providing special guidance, motivation and prospects, along with mental as well as financial support to advanced learners for their development. Under this initiative, the advanced learners, for their curricular and co-curricular/professional enrichment, are encouraged in many ways.
