Peer teaching and E – learning practices
Peer teaching is encouraged by the department as a way to assist slower learners. Academic performance is improved for slow learners by the high achievers. The department also encourages students with particular ability in pertinent Information Technology fields to share their knowledge with classmates as part of peer teaching. Through the provision of an environment where technology may be used precisely to gain knowledge at any time and from any location, the department encourages students to learn online.

Extension Activities
The department plans outreach activities to raise students' awareness of social responsibility. To teach neighbourhood homemakers and schoolchildren the basics of computers, the department organizes Computer Literacy Drives. The computer lab practical in the sessions are organized in accordance with the program's syllabus. In order to promote social consciousness among students, the department’s SCIENCE Club plans outreach events, such as street plays and rallies, in the local community.
