Journal Club
The Department initiated the Journal Club with the purpose of augmenting the research skills of students. The journal club of the department meet regularly to critically evaluate the recent articles in the academic literature. Students would get hands-on experience on preparing questionnaire in Google forms, APA and MLA bibliography format, statistical tools, Journal overview, debate, research quiz and research paper presentation. Typically, each participant can voice their view relating to several questions such as appropriateness of the research design, the statistics employed, the appropriateness of the controls that are used in the research and so on. The journal club events provide a forum through which the students are motivated to improve their research skills in the field of Commerce and Management. Furthermore, these events equip the students to make research paper presentation in the National and International Conferences.

Current Affairs Club – AAJTAK
The Current Affairs club of the Department mainly focuses on acquainting the students with the latest national and international affairs at a micro and macro level. The main aim of the club is to cultivate regular newspaper reading habit among the students and to make them stay updated ever. All the students are asked to subscribe the Economic Times newspaper and the quiz events namely Chanukya’, ‘Explore’, ‘Yukthi’, ‘Chakravyuha’ and ‘Wise Quizzers’ are conducted on the basis of current affairs on a weekly basis. Since the current affairs constitute a major portion of the syllabus for many of the competitive exams, the student also adopt an objective approach to learn and memorize the general knowledge content as well. ‘Presentation on new arrivals’, business quiz, quiz on current updates, business plan, pick and discuss, product modification and group debate are some of the other events conducted by the club.
