The Department of Tourism and Travel Management conducts a variety of academic, cultural, and professional activities throughout the year to enhance student engagement, industry exposure, and holistic development. These initiatives provide students with hands-on learning opportunities and promote leadership, teamwork, and creativity.

Key Activities:

• Adivasi Utsav: Celebrated in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, to promote inclusive tourism and showcase the rich culture and traditions of indigenous communities.
• Passport Drive: Organized in association with government agencies to facilitate passport applications for students and encourage global exposure.
• Placement Talks: Regular sessions conducted by industry professionals and alumni to guide students on career planning, employability skills, and placement preparation.
• All India Students Conclave: A national-level forum where students from across the country interact, exchange ideas, and discuss innovations and trends in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
• National Tourism Day Celebrations: Observed annually to highlight India’s tourism potential and promote sustainable and responsible travel among students.
• World Tourism Day Celebrations: A flagship departmental event held in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka, featuring seminars, competitions, and cultural performances celebrating global tourism.
